Sifu Marquis Lung
Chee-Kwong was born in a famous martial arts family in Hong Kong. He is
currently the President of the Organization of Traditional Wushu and
the 1st Advisory of the Confederation of the Canadian Wushu
Organisations. His late grandfather Grand Master Lung Chi-Cheung
studied martial arts under the famous Northern Shaolin Great Grand
Master Kuo Yu-Cheung and Choy Lay Fut Great Grand Master Tam Sam. Sifu
Marquis Lung’s father Grand Master Lung Kai Ming (Si Gung) is the 1st
Vice President and co-founder of the Hong Kong Martial Arts
Association. In 2004 Si Gung Lung Kai-Ming was the first Martial Artist
in Hong Kong to receive the Outstanding Service Awards of Secretary for
Home Affairs.
Sifu Marquis Lung has
been disciplined under his father since he was 6 years old to study
Northern Shaolin, Buk Sing Choy Lee Fut and Yeung’s form Kuo style Tai
Chi. Sifu Marquis Lung has been teaching traditional Kung Fu since 1977
and has been working as a Counsellor since 1986. He is currently
teaching Northern Shaolin Kung Fu and Kuo Style Tai Chi in Vancouver,
Burnaby and Coquitlam in British Columbia, Canada, and he is also a
full time Youth Counsellor for the Burnaby School District.
With his knowledge and
experience in Martial Arts and Youth Counselling, Sifu Marquis Lung can
empower his students’ self confidence from the learning of tradition
Kung Fu. His focus is mental and physical fitness, self-discipline,
self-defence and the philosophy of the Traditional Chinese Martial
Arts.
