Sifu Marquis Lung
Chee-Kwong was born to a famous martial arts family in Hong Kong. He is
currently the President of the Organization of Traditional Wushu and
is the Primary Advisor to the Confederation of the Canadian Wushu
Organisations. His late grandfather, Grand Master Lung Chi-Cheung
studied martial arts under the famous Northern Shaolin Great Grand
Master Kuo Yu-Cheung and Choy Lay Fut Great Grand Master Tam Sam. Sifu
Marquis Lung’s father Grand Master Lung Kai Ming (Si Gung) is the 1st
Vice President and co-founder of the Hong Kong Martial Arts
Association. In 2004 Si Gung Lung Kai-Ming was the first Martial Artist
in Hong Kong to receive the Outstanding Service Award of Secretary for
Home Affairs.
Sifu Marquis Lung has
been disciplined under his father since he was 6 years old, studying
Northern Shaolin, Buk Sing Choy Lee Fut and Yeung’s form Kuo style Tai
Chi. Sifu Marquis Lung has been teaching traditional Kung Fu since 1977 and currently
teaching Northern Shaolin Kung Fu and Kuo Style Tai Chi in Vancouver,
Burnaby and Coquitlam in British Columbia, Canada. He is also a
full time Youth Counsellor for the Burnaby School District.
With his knowledge and
experience in Martial Arts and Youth Counselling, Sifu Marquis Lung helps
empower his students’ self confidence through the learning of traditional
Kung Fu. His focus is on mental and physical fitness, self-discipline,
self-defence and the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts.
